A journey to the heart of Japanese culture

Nestled in the idyllic Japanese countryside, Fukui is known for its lasting legacy of Zen Buddhism and timeless traditional craftsmanship, both of which visitors can witness to this day and even experience themselves. Surrounded by the vast Sea of Japan, deep mountains and lush forests, the scenic locale is ideal for some outdoor fun as well.

Here, not only can you get a taste of old Japan by visiting samurai-era castle towns and other historical sites, the Fukui Prefectural Dinosaur Museum ―one of the three largest in the world― will take you back in time all the way to the Jurassic era!

Conveniently located right between Kyoto and Kanazawa, this foodie paradise will take your breath away at every turn. Promised.

【Support Menu】

We strongly believe there is something for everyone in Fukui and that is why we spare no expense when it comes to our support packages. We offer some of the most generous subsidies in all of Japan, namely up to 9 million JPY for a convention held in the prefecture, and up to 12 million JPY when international participants also attend.

Still unsure? We can also offer financial help for you to come over to Fukui and see it for yourself before committing to anything. That’s how convinced we are that you will fall in love with the place!
