International MICE Expo (IME)

The International MICE Expo(IME) is the largest event among JCCB projects.
The website for IME2024 can be found here https://www.ime2024.jp/en/index.html

What is the International MICE Expo?

IME is the largest scale business event in Japan on attracting and implementing MICE projects and is jointly hosted by JCCB and the Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO).
Until 2016 it was implemented as the International Meeting Expo (IME), taking the form of a trade fair in an exhibition hall, but from 2018 the event was redesigned as a BtoB business meetings and networking event and rebranded as the International MICE Expo Japan (still IME), in order to effectively and efficiently facilitate mutual business outcomes for both buyers and sellers.
Organizations and companies from throughout Japan involved in attracting and implementing MICE projects such as international conferences, general assemblies, academic conferences, corporate meetings, and incentives to Japan will exhibit at IME. This is an ideal opportunity for persons planning or hosting MICE projects to gather beneficial information about candidate areas and engage in specific consultation about implementing MICE projects.

Business Meetings/Networking

In addition to cities actively hosting MICE projects, convention bureaus, travel agents, transportation companies, hoteliers, PCOs, DMCs, and other related organizations will exhibit at IME, and we will provide information to all institutes of learning, organizations and companies hosting meetings and exhibitions. At IME, organizers can efficiently get information of various support programs including subsidies for holding conferences in Japan.

Side events: Towards the creation of business opportunities

In addition to the business meetings and networking, side events including those listed below also take place at IME.

▼ Seminar for International Conference Hosts (organized by JNTO)
Attendees will learn from hosts with proven track records in implementing international conferences in Japan and receive advice on the raising of contributions and the financial and grant support systems to secure the necessary fund to host international conferences.
▼ Consultation Desk on Securing Sponsorship
A consultation desk to offer advice on securing sponsorship for holding international conferences will be available at the JNTO booth.
